City Centre Walk to Explore Birmingham's heritageDistance: 1¾ miles

Birmingham was often described as the ‘Workshop of the World’ due to the manufacture of a range of goods since the 18th century.

This includes copper coins, chocolate, printed books and jewellery.

This short walk explores the trade and manufacturing which have played their part in forming a rich heritage.

The walk provides a chance to take in the architecture of the old buildings as well as areas of regeneration where modern architecture is proudly showcased.
